David Eugene Milano 1931-2011

We mourn the passing of David Eugene Milano who founded Aaero Heating and Sheet Metal 51 years ago. Even though his son and daughter have managed operations for more than twenty years, Dave Senior (as he was known) continued to guide the company with “standards set, standards met!”

Dave was a 50 year member of the Rotary Club of Novato and was passionate about “service above self.” He served as Rotary president 1979-80 and was Novato “Citizen of the Year” in 1979. He was a member of the Novato City Council for many years and was elected twice as mayor of Novato, serving 1978 – 1980.

For more than 50 years, Dave was a member of the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National (SMACNA) Redwood Chapter and served as president from 1978 – 1980, and was a member of Sheet Metal Workers International.

Winter is coming, time to check your heating system. We inspect both gas and electric home heaters and furnaces. Most people in Marin and Sonoma use gas heat, and we will check your safety controls and make sure that all moving parts are operating properly. Call today to make your appointment.

Cleaning your air ducts may improve air quality

Pollen

The air you breathe may be contaminated with particles of dust, pollen or mold if the heating and air conditioning equipment in your home or office has not been properly installed or maintained.

If the filters are replaced regularly and the ducts are dry and clean, professional cleaning may not be necessary. However, if you do not know if the system has been reliably maintained, or if you can see mold growing in the ducts or beneath the air returns, it is time to call a professional.
